Min inaugurates police check post at Digaru

TEZU, Jan 6: Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Minister Dr Mohesh Chai inaugurated a police check post at the Digaru tri-junction, along with electricity line under the DDUGY for the people of Digaru on the last day of his month-long Tezu-Sunpura constituency tour on Friday.
He also inaugurated classrooms, a computer room, and an office of Chou Sali Memorial Government Upper Primary School in Old Sunpura, and the IB in Yealiang near Sunpura.
Later, the minister addressed a gathering of villagers, panchayat leaders and gaon burahs at the Yealiang general ground and gave details of the development activities of the state and the central governments.
Lohit Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki advised the villagers to take up organic agri-horti farming “in the abundant fertile land available in the district.”
He also emphasized on preservation and protection of forest resources and reserved forest areas.
Urging the people to open bank accounts, he also advised them to get their Aadhaar numbers seeded with their bank accounts.
All the HoDs of the departments concerned responded to memorandums submitted by the panchayat leaders, GBs and others, and clarified their doubts about the implementation of flagship programmes.
Earlier, addressing a development meeting at the Bekhuliang community hall on Thursday, Dr Chai announced various development activities, including all-weather road from Digaru tri-junction to Bekhuliang, internal village road carpeting, establishment of veterinary dispensary, construction of new Anganwadi building, etc.
During his tour of the villages, Dr Chai informed the villagers of various social welfare schemes taken up by state government. He also informed the public that transparency and accountability are the mantras of the state government.
Informing that the state government has accorded priority to the health and education sectors, the minister said “it is the responsibility of the state government to provide better health care facilities and education at the doorstep, and our present government is committed to it.”
Dr Chai also announced a few more important projects for Sunpura circle, such as a multipurpose hall at Yealiang, a six-bedded male and female ward at the Sunpura CHC, and construction of boundary wall for the Sunpura CO office, besides other infrastructure development projects, according to an official release.
