TEZU, Jan 11: Lohit Deputy Commissioner Karma Leki on Thursday convened a meeting with the HoDs of the district to assess the preparations for the upcoming Makar Sankranti Mela to be held at Parshuram Kund.
The DC instructed the PHED executive engineer to provide toilets and water supply to maintain sanitation and hygiene in the Parshuram Kund area during the mela.
Directing the officers to complete their assignments at the earliest, he instructed the UD deputy director to ensure that garbage pick-up vehicles ply at continuous intervals, and to provide adequate dustbins at the kund site.
He also informed the officers of the route map for vehicles prepared by the administration to prevent traffic congestion during the mela.
