ROING, Jan 29: The Anini women’s team won the Golden Jubilee Central Reh Celebration 2018 Volleyball Championship title, defeating the team from Chidu in three straight 3-0 sets at the general ground here in Lower Dibang Valley district on Sunday.
In the men’s section, team Anaya B won the title, beating Anaya A 2-1.
The winners walked away with cash prizes of Rs 30,000 each, along with trophies. The runners-up teams were awarded Rs 20,000 each with trophies.
Retd CE Lupalum Kri and Arunachal Child and Women Welfare Society Chairman (and sponsor of the tournament), Anisha Mene Apum witnessed the finals.
