Assn hoping to have demands met

ITANAGAR, Jan 29: The Arunachal Pradesh Engineering Service Association (APESA) on Monday said it hopes that the state government would look into its various demands.
The demands include creation of department of Architecture, creation of the post of engineer-in-chief, and promotion of the senior most chief engineer under the state government to the post of secretary in the state government to head the technical/engineering department against the vacant post created by voluntary retirement of the urban development secretary, etc.
The association stated in a release that the government has responded positively to its demand of promoting two senior most superintending engineers of the Power department and the Arunachal Pradesh Public Works department to the post of chief engineer in their respective departments.
APESA president Pura Tupe gave assurance that the engineering fraternity would maintain work culture, cooperate with the state government, and contribute towards nation-building.
