DOIMUKH, Jan 31: The 35th Foundation Day of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), the lone central university in the state, will be celebrated at the university auditorium, Rono Hills here on 4 February.
Chairman of National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI), Hyderabad Dr WG Prasanna Kumar will deliver a lecture on the topic ‘University-Community Partnership: A Need and a Reality’ on the occasion, informed Joint Registrar of the university Dr David Pertin.
UD and Town Planning, Law & Justice, etc Minister Nabam Rebia is expected to attend the programme.
He further informed that though 4 February fell on a Sunday, the day has been declared as an official working day by the university authority.
This year, the Department of Education (RGU) has been made the nodal department to host the celebration.
