ITANAGAR, Feb 1: Governor Dr BD Mishra has extended warm greetings to the people of the state, particularly the Mishing and Adi communities, on the occasion of Ali-Aye-Ligang and Donggin festivals.
In his message, the governor said the rituals and the festivity associated with these festivals inspire all to sow and cultivate with zeal and zest.
‘These festivals preserve the age-old customs and traditions. I trust these festivals will continue to propagate the rich emotional, cultural and social traditions of the Mishing and Adi communities,’ he said.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu has also conveyed his greetings on the occasion of Dongging festival.
Affirming that he joins the Adi Bori community in celebration of the festival, Pema wished for peace, prosperity and wellbeing of all mankind.
