Youths advised to benefit from job melas

AALO Feb 6: West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan advised the youths of the district to avail benefits from job melas, saying such melas provide opportunities in various trades and self-employment ventures.
She was addressing a ‘job mela-cum-skill development sensitization, motivation and trainees’ selection’ rally at the DIC conference hall here on Tuesday. The programme saw the participation of vocational training providers, trainees in various trades, and HoDs.
“Though marketing has been a stumbling block for the entrepreneurs of the state, trades like the hospitality industry, bakery, and beauty culture can be self-sustaining means for the trainees,” the DC said.
Industries Deputy Director Marme Kato Loya and Assistant Director Geto Ori spoke about skill development and sensitization training being imparted to trainees from time to time under ‘Skill India’.
