NYAPIN, Feb 17: A ‘literary competition-cum-career counselling’ for school students, themed ‘Pen is mightier than sword’ was organised at the indoor stadium here in Kurung Kumey district on 16 February as part of the forthcoming Nyokum Yullo celebration.
District SSA Project Coordinator Gyamar Main and ANSU spokesperson Tadar Baro attended the programme.
In his brief speech, Main emphasized the need to conduct literary competitions once a week in every school.
The ANSU leader urged his fellow students to be disciplined and hardworking, and respect their teachers and parents.
Students as well as teachers from various government and private schools of Nyapin town were part of the activity.
A team from Mumbai is expected to attend the 44th Nyokum Yullo here to carry out research and document the festival.
The Intellectual Forum North East and the Arunachal Vikas Parishad will sponsor the research team, informed celebration committee secretary Tadar Chachung.
