DADAM, Mar 4: Khonsa West MLA Tirong Aboh inaugurated a multipurpose community hall in presence of large number of government officers, Panchayat leaders, chiefs and gaon burahs here on Saturday.
The Rs 1 crore multipurpose community hall project was constructed by the PWD and funded under the Social and Infrastructure Development Fund (SIDF).
In his inaugural address, Aboh urged the youths of Dadam circle to utilize the newly inaugurated multipurpose hall in a proper way.
A caretaker cum watchman will be engaged on honorarium basis under the supervision of Dadam GSS Headmaster Wangthian Hakhun till formation of a committee.
He suggested utilising the hall for various purposes like NGO meetings on rental basis, and to use the funds raised, for maintenance of the hall.
Aboh also appreciated the PWD for quality construction of the building within the given time period.
ADC Techu Aran said that many infrastructures in Dadam circle could be seen within three to four years under the leadership of Aboh.
“Such permanent assets can be used for various purposes like indoor games, cultural show and meetings”, Aran said and called for proper care of the hall.
In his speech, PWD EE Ahmed disclosed that this multipurpose community hall is the one of the biggest halls in the district, which was initiated and funded by MLA Tirong Aboh under the SIDF. He appealed to all to take proper care of the building.
Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Meena, 16 Assam Rifles CO Col Virendar Siddhu and incoming 16 Assam Rifles CO Col Robin Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
