ITANAGAR, Mar 6: Tourism Minister Jarkar Gamlin emphasized on extensive use of e-platform, including social media, to promote tourism in Arunachal Pradesh.
Gamlin, who chaired a meeting to review the various activities and assignments undertaken by the Department of Tourism, at the conference hall of the Secretary Tourism and Planning here on 5 February, asked the officers and officials of his department to work with good ethics and streamline the work system in order to bring efficiency in the day to day official tasks.
The meeting, which was attended by the senior officers and officials of the Tourism department, discussed and reviewed various matters related to publicity and promotion, department’s calendar events, adventure tourism, human resource development and innovative projects, informed Director of Tourism, Kanto Danggen
Discussion on strategies for tourism development in the state for 2018-19 and way forward was also held.
Projects under scheme like Swadesh Darshan were also discussed.
Earlier, Secretary (Tourism & Planning) Dr Joram Beda apprised the Tourism minister on the various activities and assignments undertaken during 2017-18.
