ATMs in Seppa run out of cash

SEPPA, Mar 13: The All East Kameng District Students’ Union ((AEKDSU) on Tuesday said that the people of the district headquarters were facing hardships due to non-availability of cash in ATM booths across Seppa town.
AEKDSU president Chakang Yangda informed that for the last few months, many people, including business persons have been facing lot of problems due to cash crunch in ATMs and in the SBI bank as well.
“No-Cash boards are seen at many ATM centres across the city. What is the use of ATM centres and banks when they do not work according to the convenience of customers?” he asked.
The union has submitted a representation to the manager of the State Bank of India, Seppa branch requesting him to take steps for solving the issue at the earliest.
The union has also urged the manager for establishment of a sub branch under Seppa Township, as the existing structure cannot hold the quantity of customers any longer.
The AEKDSU president said that insufficiency of workforce was also a major reason for delay in any bank related works in the Seppa SBI branch.
