ROING, Mar 14: Thirty aspiring entrepreneurs came to the second workshop in the start-up incubation series, ‘Mission Roing: Entrepreneurship Workshop to Foster Start-up Culture for Social Innovation & Skill Development with Education’, with their business ideas.
The AMYAA NGO, in collaboration with IIT, Guwahati, Quest Alliance, Bengaluru and the district administration held the workshop here from 12 to 14 March.
The workshop was organized with the objective of inspiring, nurturing and promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship under the guidance of Dr Charu Monga, Assistant Professor (Design & Entrepreneurship), Dr Harsh Chaturvedi, Assistant Professor (Energy) and Ashutosh Muglikar, Company Secretary (Propelis Consulting India Pvt Ltd).
AMYAA NGO secretary R K Paul Chawang outlined the background and objective of the workshop. He highlighted the ill-effects of unemployment witnessed in the state in general and Lower Dibang Valley district in particular.
This workshop was a step by step exercise for young minds on how to launch ideas at an opportune time and how to subsequently unfold the ideas into business prospects.
Presentations were carried out by resource persons in the field of eco-tourism, start-up entrepreneurship, agriculture/horticulture and education.
Participants were showed concepts and practices of entrepreneurial thoughts and entrepreneurship, promoting an immersive and realistic experience. They were familiarized with different tools and methodologies, such as designing value proposition, customer discovery and validation.
Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom also interacted with the participants and extended her readiness for all help and support.
A group discussion session was also organized on the theme ‘Present Scenario and Further Opportunities in an Entrepreneurial Endeavour’ Moderating the discussion, Dr Harsh Chaturvedi emphasized on the opportunities of entrepreneurship and provided significant inputs on developing entrepreneurial competencies.
