YINGKIONG, Mar 18: A steering committee meeting for National De-Worming Day and Rogi Kalyan Samiti was held here on 16 March last.
Chairing the meeting, ADC Adong Pertin exhorted all stakeholders to be sincere, dedicated and proactive towards their duty to achieve the target of de-worming.
Medical Superintendent Dr G Litin gave a power-point presentation on various fund received and expenditure incurred under Rogi Kalyan Samiti.
Litin also highlighted various problems being faced by the district hospital in Yingkiong.
DRCHO Dr Appir Apang gave a presentation on performance of previous year and targeted population in the current year, while Yingkiong DMO Dr D Bagra spoke on the preparedness for success of the programme.
Attending the programme, ZPM Bading Teng said that the performance of a person depends on soundness of health.
“Our children should be free from diseases, for which all stakeholders should work collectively instead of depending on each other”, Teng added.
Yingkiong DTO Dr Ahik Miyu also spoke.
All the medical officers posted at different places under Upper Siang district, stakeholders like PHE, Education, ICDS, PWD and PRI members attended the meeting. (DIPRO)
