ITANAGAR, Apr 3: The Arunachal Pradesh Information Commission (APIC) has imposed a penalty of Rs 25,000 on Seppa (East Kameng) RWD Executive Engineer Nending Batt for delaying furnishing complete information to an information seeker regarding the construction of a protection wall in Seppa town under TFC 2014-15.
After receiving an appeal from the information seeker on 14 September last year, the Commission had issued an order to the EE, who is also the department’s public information officer, to furnish complete information to the appellant, but he failed to comply.
The APIC has directed the EE to appear before it in person, along with the remaining information, on 24 April 2018, failing which the Commission said it will invoke Section 20 (2) of the RTI Act and recommend disciplinary action as per the service rule.
