AALO, Apr 3: The four-day ‘Uni-Fest’ of the North East Frontier Technical University (NEFTU), which featured literary, cultural and sports competitions, concluded here in West Siang district on Tuesday.
Attending the valedictory function, NEFTU Vice Chancellor, Dr T Padu informed that the state’s skill development department has empanelled the NEFTU as training provider for skill development under the Border Area Development Programme.
The university’s Registrar, Dr Alok Kumar, Research Dean R Sugathan, and Assistant Registrar Robin Singh were also present on the occasion.
During the valedictory function, the winners of Mr and Ms NEFTU contest, Kamin Yangfo and Nibom Riba, were felicitated, while Kenbom Angu and Lipi Lollen were awarded prizes for being the best volleyball player in the boys’ and the girls’ categories, respectively.
Geken Ingo was adjudged the best male football player, while Nujum Tali and Kenter Ngomdir were declared sportsman and sportswoman, respectively, of the Uni-Fest. (DIPRO)
