ITANAGAR, Apr 10: The Arunachal Pradesh skill development & entrepreneurship (SDE) department will sponsor 30 candidates to pursue one-year diploma course in civil aviation as air hostess/cabin crew.
Guwahati-based North East Institute of Fashion Technology (NEIFT) will impart the training, and a minimum of 70 percent of the trainees will be placed in jobs after the training, SDE Director Subu Tabin informed in a release.
The entire cost of training, including transportation and boarding, will be provided by the state government.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed between SDE Secretary Madhu K Garg and NEIFT CEO Vikram Rai Medhi, in the presence of Tabin and SDE Assistant Director J Riba.
The course will start in the first week of July.
The release also informed about the launch of the Chief Minister’s Yuva Kaushal Yojana in the recent Budget Session to provide high-end training in various sectors to 1000 students in the current financial year.
Under this scheme, skill development training centres will be set up in various districts, and youths will be given skill development training inside as well as outside the state and the country.
