HoDs asked to prepare plans under GSA

YUPIA, Apr 19: Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (GSA) nodal officer Sanjay Srivastava has asked the HoDs of Papum Pare to prepare action plans for effective implementation of ongoing and proposed schemes under the GSA in the district.
During a meeting here on Thursday in connection with the celebration of the GSA, Srivastava also directed the officers to submit summary reports within two days.
The nodal officer, along with the officers of the departments concerned will visit 14 selected villages, including Doimukh, Mani, Emchi, Gumto, Yupia, Naharlagun Model, Lekhi and Riyub villages during the course of the celebration.
DC In-charge Tabang Bodungs said the GSA is aimed at promoting social harmony, reaching out to poor rural households, focusing on double-farming income, enhancing livelihood opportunities, emphasizing on cleanliness, and strengthening the panchayati raj institutions.
He asked the officers to educate the people about poverty alleviation schemes.
The status of schemes under the GSA were discussed during the meeting, and officers including the DFCSO, the EE (Electrical), the APEDA PO, the lead bank manager, and the DMO made presentations on their departments’ activities. (DIPRO)
