ITANAGAR, Apr 22: Two students from each district of the state were given a formal send-off for an exposure trip to Shillong and Guwahati from the state banquet hall here by Education Secretary Madhu Rani Teotia on Sunday.
The students, from Classes 5 to 7, have been selected through their respective DDSEs for the exposure trip, under the SSA’s ‘sub-head ST/SC innovation’ flagship programme.
The exposure trip is aimed providing the young minds access to the best practices adopted in reputed educational institutions in Shillong (Meghalaya) and Guwahati (Assam), and broadening their knowledge of other Northeastern states.
The education secretary advised the students to take note of the best practices and document events and share them with other children once they return to their respective schools.
She directed the officials escorting the children to ensure that the children do not face any inconvenience due to negligence.
Officials of SSA Rajya Mission, Itanagar, and some from the districts also attended the send-off function.
