Hindu College OSA felicitates Pema

NEW DELHI, Apr 23: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu was felicitated by the Old Students Association (OSA) of Hindu College at the 16th Annual OSA Distinguished Alumni Award function here on Sunday.
Pema was among others who have been contributing to the nation in diverse fields. He was felicitated with the ‘distinguished alumni award’ for excellence in public service, while Delhi High Court Judge, Justice Rekha Palli was felicitated for excellence in law.
Among others, television personality Siddhartha Basu was awarded for excellence in media; economist Dr Ashima Goyal for excellence in economics; orthopaedic surgeon Dr Shekhar Agarwalfor excellence in medicine; and Ambassador to Myanmar Vikram Misri for excellence in foreign service.
Recalling his days at Hindu College, Pema extended his gratitude to the institution for making him what he is today.
“I am proud to be part of this prestigious college,” he said, and offered a personal invitation to the alumni association of the college to hold a programme in Itanagar, “where alumni of Northeastern states could participate.”
He also requested the principal of the college to select a batch of 10 current students of the college for an ‘Arunachal Darshan’ programme, which he said would help them in learning the unique cultural diversity of the region, and promote cultural exchange and integration with the rest of the country.(CMO)
