ITANAGAR, Apr 24: The Abotani Descendant Welfare Society (ADWS) in a representation to the chief minister on Tuesday urged him to take urgent steps to restart the APST bus service between Aalo and Itanagar.
The group drew the CM’s attention to the problems being faced by the people of West Siang and Lower Siang districts due to the discontinuation of the APST bus service on that route.
It said regular APST day bus service was stopped suddenly, causing much inconvenience to the public. It also blamed irregular earth-cutting for causing disruption in transportation activities.
The ADWS has threatened to launch democratic action if its plea is not addressed within a week.
