ITANAGAR, Apr 23: The Reri Welfare Society (RWS) has in a three-point memorandum to the deputy commissioner recently, demanded swift delivery of justice in the February 14 rape case of a six-year-old in Daporijo in Upper Subansiri district.
It has demanded early submission of charge-sheet to the court and trial of the case before the fast track court.
“Such persons are a threat to the society and if the alleged rapist is found guilty, he should be awarded capital punishment”, it stated and threatened to resort to phase-wise dharna in case their demands are not met soon.
