AGARTALA, Apr 27: Tripura-based ICFAI University and Kolkata-based NB Institute of Rural Technology (NBIRT) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly implement government-aided solar power and other intermediate scientific projects across the Northeastern states.
The MoU, which was signed by NBIRT chairman Dr SP Gon Chowdhury and Tripura ICFAI vice chancellor Prof Biplab Halder, envisages facilitating joint project, research and consultancy work addressing thrust areas of using technology for rural development.
It will focus on identifying common areas of research and project work, and the institutes will submit a joint proposal to the MNRE, the DST, the MSME, and other agencies.
