Moyong inspects projects in Bakin Pertin GH

PASIGHAT, May 4: MLA cum Parliamentary Secretary Disaster Management, Kaling Moyong inspected various government-sponsored ongoing schemes and projects at the Bakin Pertin General Hospital on Friday.
According to official source, Rs 20 lakhs was provided for installation of one silent DG set under SIDF 2016-17, and Rs 1, 24, 00000 was provided for installation of two 200 KV and one 250 KV power transformers and allied electrifications under SADA2017-18 to stabilize power supply to the hospital.
Additionally, Rs 35 lakhs was received under the SIDF for boring and construction of pump-house with 15 KV silent gen-set and PS overhead tank (35,000 ltrs capacity) for the hospital.
Moyong expressed happiness over the progress and directed the executing agencies to maintain quality and ensure durability. He also called for expediting the work so that it could be officially commissioned on the occasion of ensuing ‘Etor Gidii’.
“To maintain optimum level of safety of sophisticated health care setting and its safe operation, regulated power supply will be provided”, assured the MLA.
Later, the MLA also inspected the X-ray unit and construction of CT Scan building.
Moyong was accompanied by PMC Chief Councilor Kaling Doruk, engineers of PHED and Power and public leaders.
Earlier, in a coordination meeting with Joint Director of Health Service in-charge Dr B Taki, Moyong suggested providing better and advanced treatment with latest technology.
He also appealed to the hospital staffers to shoulder bigger responsibilities as the hospital also caters to surrounding districts like Siang, West Siang, Upper Siang and Lower Dibang Valley, etc in addition to East Siang and neighbouring Assam. (DIPRO)
