ITANAGAR, May 4: In a representation to the director of elementary education (DEE), Papum Pare district, the All Mengio Students’ Union (AMSU) appealed to him to initiate steps to ensure early posting of adequate subject teachers in various government middle schools under Mengio and Sil-Sango circles.
The AMSU claimed that government middle schools at Kamrung, Sakiang, Sarchgai, Pilla, Nakar and Nyopang, besides the Government Residential School at Pan under the said circles do not have adequate subject teachers.
“Various government middle schools at both the circles have been facing shortage of teachers for over a decade, causing great difficulties for the students to complete their syllabus, adversely affecting their education”, the union said.
