BOMDILA, May 13: Police detained 46 persons without inner line permits (ILP) on the first day of the ILP checking drive in West Kameng district on Sunday.
They were later deported from the state.
The checking drive was carried out in all the border areas of the district, following instruction from the deputy commissioner to this effect.
The drive was carried out at Kalaktang and Bhalukpong subdivisions by the respective administrative officers, with assistance from the police.
DC Sonal Swaroop informed that the special checking drive will continue. (DIPRO)
