NAHARLAGUN, May 21: Animal Husbandry Veterinary & Dairy Development (AHV&DD) Director Dr ND Minto has urged the department’s officers to work with dedication to augment the growth and productivity of the livestock sector, and to meet the recommendations made by the experts during the recently-held state level conclave on ‘perspective planning for agriculture and allied sectors’.
He was addressing the general conference of the Arunachal Pradesh Veterinary Association (APVA) here on Sunday, which saw the participation of over 170 veterinarians from all over the state.
Issues such as bifurcation of the AHV&DD directorate into two; re-designation of the district animal husbandry & veterinary officers and their equivalent posts; reversion of veterinary officers posted in the RD department to their parent department; non-practice allowances; retirement age of veterinary doctors; creation of veterinary officers’ posts, etc, were discussed during the meeting.
APVA president Dr Tachi Taku and general secretary Dr Minge Loyi also spoke.
