ROING, May 24: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom interacted with the group of students and faculty members from the University of South Florida’s (USF) School of Social Work and the RGU’s Arunachal Institute of Tribal Studies, and members of the RIWATCH here on Thursday.
The group of students is here under the programme, ‘Northeast Himalayas in India: Socio-cultural context of indigenous people’s health’.
The DC briefed the students on the duties and responsibilities of an administrative officer, and informed them about the thrust areas of the district administration, such as agriculture, tourism, and education.
The DC responded to queries from the visiting students and faculty members, particularly on the issues of the drug menace, child education, and healthcare service for women. (DIPRO)
