ROING, May 26: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom on Friday praised the health department for being proactive in implementing all the health programmes in the district and meeting all the set targets on time.
Addressing a district level coordination meeting on the Special Intensified Mission Indradhanush (SIMI) and the Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF), the DC encouraged the department to continue the good work and improve the health care scenario in the district.
DRCHO Dr R Mena gave a presentation on the SIMI and the IDCF. He said the IDCF will be carried out from 28 May to 9 June to create awareness on the disease and to improve awareness on the use of ORS and zinc.
DMO Dr R Tatan also spoke.
The DDSE, ICDS department representatives, and medical officers of the district also participated in the meeting. (DIPRO)
