Hundreds benefit from medical camp

TAWANG, Jun 4: Over 300 patients benefited from a two-day medical camp organized at remote Mago village in Tawang district from 2-3 June by the Jang CHC in collaboration with the 2nd Garhwal Rifles and the 40 Mountain Brigade, with support from Hang Sports Club.
The medical team was led by Jang CHC SMO Dr Rinchin Neema, and RMO Captain Agniban and MO Captain Sakshi from the Army’s 471 field hospital.
Dentist Dr Hage from the district hospital treated around 25 patients, while Senior Veterinary Officer Dr Thutan Tashi treated 80 livestock and disbursed free medicines.
Earlier, the camp was inaugurated by 2nd Garhwal Regiment CO AP Kandwal. He expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pema Khandu “for his spontaneous response to sponsor the camp for the denizens of hamlets nestled in remote regions.”?
Dr Neema spoke about cleanliness, and prevention of various communicable and non-communicable diseases, while Captain Agniban elaborated on different altitude- and cold-related ailments and their prevention. (Tawang Vigilance)
