ITANAGAR, Jun 7: A team of officials from the AYUSH ministry paid a surprise visit to the lone AYUSH hospital of state, the North East Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital here on Tuesday.
The team comprised Dr DB Sharkar, Assistant Director of the Regional Research Institute, Kolkata; Prof AB Angar of RBTS College, Mujaffarpur (Bihar); and Associate Professor Dr Dhananajay Kumar Shukla from the Nehru Medical College, New Delhi.
The team met the college’s faculty members and administrative and non-teaching staffs, and learned about the functioning of the college. The members also visited all the departments of the college and discussed with the intern students ways and means to handle patients.
Later, the members met the chairman of college, Bullen Teli, and discussed the functioning of the college in the interest of public service and uplift of the state’s education scenario.
The team assured the ministry’s support for smooth functioning of the college.
