This is in response to the letter titled “Make APTET/CTET mandatory for teacher recruitment’’. First of all I would like to clarify about APTET/CTET certificate. For the post of teachers in Secondary Education Deptt, APTET/CTET certificate is not mandatory, whereas, in Elementary Education Department the said certificate is compulsory.
If the Elementary Department advertises for the recruitment of teachers (TGT: English, Hindi, Science, Social Science and Maths) they will be asking for TET certificate as it is one of its eligibility criteria.
So, I on behalf of the entire aspirants appeal the APPSC commission not to delay recruitment process.
