CHANGLANG, Jun 14: Phinbiro-I, Phinbiro-II, New Longtoi, Lyngok, and Longtoi villages in Lyngok-Longtoi circle of Changlang district got connected with road communication with the inauguration of a bridge over the Tirap river.
LM&CA Parliamentary Secretary (PS) Laisam Simai inaugurated the bridge, in the presence of Hydropower PS Phosum Khimhun, DC Wayong Khimhun, and others.
The 435-metre long bridge, connecting the road from Manmao circle headquarters with Phinbiro-I, was executed by the rural development department under the PMGSY.
Terming the people of the circle “development-friendly” for their support during the construction of the bridge, Simai highlighted ongoing developmental activities in his constituency, and those in the pipeline.
Parliamentary Secretary Khimhun congratulated the locals and urged them to work hard for the development of the area. He advised them to shun opium and take up agriculture and horticulture activities.
