Major reshuffle effected in home dept

NAHARLAGUN, Jun 14: The home department saw major posting and transfer of police officers through an order issued by Home Commissioner GS Meena on 12 June.
The police officers who have been relocated from the state capital include Superintendent of Police (SP) Sagar Singh Khalsi, who has been posted as the SP of Tawang. SPTawang N Harshavardhan will take charge as the new Capital City SP.
Crime & SIT SP Shweta Chauhan has been posted as SP Anini, while present Chief Security Liaison Officer Khandu Deru, who is attached with the chief minister’s security cell, has been posted as Commanding Officer of the 3rd IRBn at Seijosa. PHQ Additional SP Habung Hailyang has been posted as SP Anjaw, Commanding Officer of the 3rd IRBn Seijosa, Apang Tamut, will join as SP PHQ; Siang SP Irak Bagra will now manage road safety and traffic, while Anjaw SP Kirli Padu has been attached with the chief minister’s security cell as CSLO. Lower Subansiri SP B Kamduk has been posted as Commanding Officer (CO) 1st APPBn.
Apart from reshuffle in the capital region, SP S Singpho, who held the charge of Lower Siang, has been posted as Namsai SP, while SP Jummar Basar has been posted from Anini to Aalo.
Speaking to reporters, Meena said the transfer and posting was routine and increases the work and efficiency of the officers as they move and gain experience from different places.
The officers whose workplaces have been changed but shall remain in the state capital district include Fire & Emergency Services SP Kime Aya.
He will join as AIGP (Establishment) at PHQ. AIGP (Ops) Shankar Choudhary will be SP (Telecom); Commanding Officer of 1st APPBn, Tojo Karga, will take charge as SP Security; SP Special Branch (PHQ) Navdeep Singh Brar will remain as SP Special Branch, with additional charge of Crime and SIT; SP Planning Manoj Kumar Meena will remain as SP Planning with additional charge of Ops; Addl SP (SB) Keni Bagra will remain as Addl SP (SB) with additional charge of SP Fire & Emergency Services.
Kushal Pal Singh on arrival will join as SP Siang, while Raja Banthia on arrival will join as SP West Kameng. Hemant Tiwari will join as SP Lower Subansiri.
