AKDSU seeks upgrade of police outpost in Dollungmukh

ITANAGAR, Jun 25: The All Kamle District Students’ Union (AKDSU) has submitted a representation to Home Minister Kumar Waii on Monday, seeking that the police outpost in Dollungmukh, under Kamle district be upgraded into a full-fledged police station.
The AKDSU reasoned that the police outpost in Dollungmukh is a sensitive area which witnesses repeated law and order problems caused by boundary dispute with the neighbouring state of Assam.
The Raga police station under Kamle district is also at a distance of 264 kms from the area, due to which, there is a lack of proper security and timely prosecution from the police, it informed.
Meanwhile, the Home minister’s office has also marked the representation to the DGP for examination and consideration.
