CHANGLANG, Jun 26: Changlang Deputy Commissioner, Wayong Khimhun on Tuesday conducted a review meeting of all the ongoing infrastructure projects being implemented by various departments under the North East Council, Rural Infrastructure Development Fund, State Infrastructure Development Fund and other fund supported by the state and central governments.
DC Khimhun directed all the departments to maintain work quality and submit the Utilization Certificates (UC) immediately against the completed projects.
Showing concern about the limited space for implementation of schemes in the district headquarters, the DC advocated for opting proposals for multi-storied projects. He urged them to strictly follow government guidelines while implementing the projects. He also directed the department of power to eliminate trees obstructing HT/LT lines to avert the possible mishaps.
In order to ensure proper monitoring of the projects as well as necessary cooperation in implementing the projects, the DC asked the implementing agencies to take confidence of the concerned local administrative officers by submitting a copy of DPR and sanction order.
Changlang District Planning Officer, Shamee Timba urged the HoDs to submit non-duplicity certificate diligently.
Earlier, all the implementing agencies gave a PowerPoint presentation on the status of the projects and their physical and financial achievements. (DIPRO)
