PASIGHAT, Jul 4: The lone 33KV power supply line, feeding the entire area of Mebo sub-division and parts of Lower Dibang Valley district, was snapped as the electric poles at Siku River crossing point was uprooted due to soil erosion, caused by flood water in the wee hours on Wednesday.
Restoration works ended this afternoon and the power supply was charged successfully.
However, earth fault was reported after 40 minutes of power restoration and some areas are reeling under complete darkness till filing of the report.
The staffers of power department, led by Mebo JE Ajay Pertin are still checking the line despite incessant rainfall.
The executive engineer has requested all affected electricity consumers to bear with the department for the inconvenience caused due to natural calamity. (DIPRO)
