NAMSAI, Jul 5: As many as 484 farmers benefited from a four-day training-cum-demonstration programme on bee rearing, organized at Lathao, Deobil and Mengkeng Miri villages from 1 to 4 July by the Namsai KVK in collaboration with of the National Bee Board, under the Krishi Kalyan Abhiyan (KKA).
Addressing the farmers, senior scientist Dr Manish Kanwat spoke about the KKA and organic farming, besides the activities of the KVK for doubling farmers’ income by 2022.
SMS Dr Debasis Sasmal imparted training on topics like bee rearing, management of bees, pests and diseases, and harvesting and economic benefit of beekeeping. He also demonstrated various methods of bee rearing.
