ITANAGAR, Jul 6: Reacting to the report on the Trans-Arunachal Highway compensation scam, former general secretary of the All Nyishi Students’ Union, Likha Tabo on Friday dismissed having received any illegal compensation, and claimed that he did not indulge in any wrongdoing.
In a statement, Tabo said the report damaged his hard-earned image.
“The allegation levelled against me is concocted and baseless,” he said. “If my name is in beneficiaries list and cheque has been issued by issuing authority, it indicates that my land and properties are there in the RoW. Otherwise, why will I get payment?” he said.
“I am a simple man without any political affiliation. I have been serving as a student leader since schooling days to till 2011 and have always strived for peaceful coexistence of every communities of the state. I being former student leader cannot think of indulging in such acts,” Tabo said.
