ITANAGAR, Jul 11: The All Ziro Hapoli Youth Association (AZHYA) has in a letter submitted to the Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday, declared a 12-hour bandh call at Ziro-Hapoli town on 17 July from 5 am to 5pm.
The association made the decision following expiry of its earlier ultimatum to the DC on 25 May, wherein it sought early fulfilment of its three-point demands, which include immediate dismantling of illegal and unfair structures erected at public footpath Hapoli near power house; construction of police beat post at medical colony and higher secondary school gate of Hapoli, and proper street electrification of Ziro and Hapoli for public safety.
