AALO, Jul 14: The RTI cell of the Kargu Kardi Students’ Union has lodged a complaint at the police station here, alleging misappropriation of fund under SIDF 2016-17.
It its FIR, the union alleged that the West Siang DRDA fraudulently misappropriated fund amounting to Rs 28,07,962 meant for the construction of an auditorium/community hall in Liromoba.
“The auditorium/community hall at Liromoba under SIDF 2016-2017 has not been constructed yet, which we came to know from the information obtained through Right to Information,” the FIR read.
The union alleged that the DRDA office paid the bill for “a building which does not exist,” and that the photograph of the building, which was used to avail the bill, “was of the gaon burah dere in Liromoba, constructed under the PWD Yomcha division.”
The union’s RTI cell has demanded action under appropriate section(s) of the law against those involved in the misappropriation of the fund.
