Ganga gets upgraded school

GANGA, Jul 17: UD Parliamentary Secretary Techi Kaso and Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan inaugurated the school building and the newly upgraded government higher secondary school (GHSS) here on Monday.
Kaso, who is also the local MLA, said it was necessary to upgrade the secondary school to higher secondary level as there was no higher secondary school nearby. He expressed hope that the students would no more have to walk far to other higher secondary schools.
He urged the students to study hard and fulfill the dreams of their parents who sacrifice a lot for the sake of their children.
The DC stressed on the need to improve the overall education scenario, and urged the students to work hard to move ahead in life. He also informed that under the Chief Minister’s Samast Shiksha Yojana, the basic requirements of a school, such as desks, benches, repair and maintenance work, electrification, etc, would be taken care of.
He, however, reiterated that “it is not the infrastructure but the will that will take students ahead in life.’
Former ASM Teli Yamang requested the PS to meet a few requirements of the GHSS.
The MLA, along with the DC, the DDSE and the ex-ASM also took stock of the condition of the school.
