YUPIA, Jul 17: The Papum Pare District Health Society (DHS) conducted a workshop on the Integrated Action Plan for Pneumonia and Diarrhoea (IAPPD) at the ZPC conference hall here on Tuesday.
Addressing the participants, Deputy Commissioner Dr Joram Beda urged the stakeholders to take up the action plan on a mission mode to prevent and control pneumonia and diarrhoea.
Taking note of discrepancies in the data collection process, Dr Beda reiterated conducting special training for all MOs in-charge on HMIS and on implementation of the standard operating procedure “in letter and spirit.
“All data entry operators should be given strict instruction to be serious in their job and the DMO should also ensure that all medical officers are sincerely performing their duties,” the DC said.
DMO Dr Subu Tasso Kampu highlighted the importance of the AIPPD. She requested the MOs in-charge to ensure collection of correct data.
UNICEF consultant Dr Meenakshi and state child health nodal officer Dr Tana Natung made presentations on various topics related to the action plan for pneumonia and diarrhoea.
The roles and responsibilities of line departments on prevention of pneumonia and diarrhoea were also discussed.
All MOs in-charge, officials from various line departments, and representatives from the TRIMHS and private hospitals also attended the workshop. (DIPRO)
