ITANAGAR, Jul 18: Nyishi Elite Society (NES) president Bengia Tolum has exhorted young achievers to set the image of the community and carry forward its legacy, and urged professional achievers to become role models for the society.
He said this on Monday while speaking during the ‘Annual Academic and Professional Achievers’ award of NES.
Speaking on the occasion, former chief minister Nabam Tuki expressed his immense happiness at the high academic performance of the students and advised them to maintain the same spirit in future to remain torch bearers of the society.
Speaking on behalf of social leaders, Dr Joram Begi, founder president NES and state chief information commissioner hoped that the celebration of the success of achievers will inspire younger members.
NES general secretary Heri Maring also encouraged the youth during the award ceremony which was attended by RWD Minister Bamang Felix, Parliamentary Secretary Mama Natung, former minister Talo Mugli and several members of the Nyishi community.
Other highlights of the day were cultural presentation by the All Nyishi Students’ Union and Nyishi Art & Culture Welfare Society.
