YUPIA, Jul 19: The district and sessions judge here has granted ten days’ (till 27 July) interim bail to former deputy commissioner Kemo Lollen to attend the last rites of his daughter-in-law Amung Tadu Lollen.
Taking into consideration the death of his daughter-in-law and the necessity of performing the last rites of the deceased, the accused has been granted bail “with the sole condition, as of now, to report to the Special Investigation Cell of Itanagar police station on 28 July at 10 am,” the order read.
Lollen was arrested on 3 July with two others for their alleged involvement in misappropriation of compensation funds under the Trans-Arunachal Highway project in Lower Subansiri district.
Decision on the bail petition of the other two will be taken on Friday, the court said.
