ITANAGAR, Jul 19: Claiming that many state government officers are overstaying their tenures in their places of posting in violation of the transfer and posting norms, the All Arunachal Pradesh Volunteer Youth Forum in a representation to the chief secretary on Wednesday appealed to the state government to strictly implement the transfer and posting policy with regard to administrative officers.
The forum also urged the state government to take urgent steps to halt the practice of giving tenure extensions to government officers, saying it hinders opportunities for the state’s unemployed youths who are already suffering due to shortage of jobs.
