LONGDING, Jul 22: The third interdepartmental badminton tournament organized by Longding district administration in collaboration with Longding District Badminton Association concluded here on Saturday.
Lemhu Wangpan won the men’s single title, beating Joysom Taidong.
The men’s doubles title was won by the pair of Lemhu Wangpan and Joysom Taidong of APP. They beat Dr Tanseng Techi and Dr Wangnai Wangsu of medical department.
In the women’s doubles, Chazing Wangsu and Lamhai Wangsu of the medical department defeated Toilih Wangsu and Phamnak Wansaham of WRD to win the title.
Lemhu Wangpan and Leetai Wangsu of APP won the mixed doubles title, beating Dr Tanseng Techi and Chazing Wangsu of the medical department.
Longding Deputy Commissioner VS Mallik distributed the awards, consisting of cash prizes and trophies, to the winners and runners-up.
The cash awards for the winners were jointly sponsored by Longding DMO Dr Emo Bassar, WRD EE TS Tabin, PHED EE T Taloh, Power EE J Dulom and PWD EE S Chaudhary.
The five-day tournament saw the participation of all the departments from all over the district. (DIPRO)
