OMPULI, Jul 28: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the Indian Medical Association (IMA-AP) launched ‘Mission Pink Health’ here in Papum Pare district on Saturday.
The mission is aimed at improving the general health of and eradicating anaemia among adolescent girls.
During the launch function, which was held on the sideline of a health camp, TRIHMS gynaecologist Dr Jyoti Kamda made a PowerPoint presentation on menstrual and personal hygiene.
Lectures on menstrual hygiene, adolescent and sexual health, free distribution of iron folic acid and sanitary pads to girl children, and anaemia detection tests were the other highlights of the programme.
ENT surgeon Dr Jego Ori and Sagalee CHC MO Dr Tana Anthoni also participated in it.
The health camp was organized by the Ompuli Panchayat Employee Forum in collaboration with IMA-AP, and the Pink Mission Health was launched under the women’s wing of the IMA-AP.
