WCD commissioner questions juvenile and children’s cases pendency

BOMDILA, Aug 1: Divisional Commissioner (West) and Commissioner Women and Child Development (WCD) Gamli Padu on Wednesday seriously viewed the pendency of the juvenile justice board and child welfare committee cases in West Kameng district.
He said during a meeting here with deputy commissioner, DD (ICDS) and all administrative officers and CDPOs to monitor the performance of district in various schemes, like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, PMMVY, modified SAG, NSAP, etc.
The commissioner briefly outlined the details of the POSHAN abhiyan aimed to reduce stunting of children.
He also further stressed upon Aadhar enrolment and Aadhar seeding of all beneficiaries, payment through DBT mode and also urged the CDPOs to co-ordinate with administrative officers personally to verify the anganwadi centres functionality, and to liaise with the PHED to ensure supply and functional toilet in anganwadi centres.
In order to pace aadhar generation under 0 to 6 years, the deputy commissioner asked the ICDS department to submit list of beneficiaries according to the anganwadi centres, and to focus on providing aadhar facility to those who have been left-out.
He also sought wide publicity of ‘Sarkar Apke Dwar’ venues so that a large section of people can benefit from it. (DIPRO)
