KIMIN, Aug 6: Fifty-two anganwadi workers (AWW) and helpers are participating in a five-day training programme which got underway here in Papum Pare district on Monday.
The training, which is being organized under the Vivek Kiran project, is an educational initiative of the VKVAP Trust and the Tata Trusts, Mumbai. It is aimed at equipping the AWWs and helpers to conduct teaching and learning activities effectively at their anganwadi centres.
Kimin Child Development Project Officer Taba Jaya, who inaugurated the programme, urged the anganwadi workers and helpers to do their duties diligently to help children grow as ideal citizens. The CDPO also released posters on education.
The activities during the training include model making, creative art, storytelling, handicraft, practical classes with children, etc.
This is the third training programme that the project is conducting for the balsevikas since 2015.
