PASIGHAT, Aug 8: The East Siang district Superintendent of Police,Prashant Gautum has issued strict direction to all the officers incharge, station in charge of the district to check gambling activities in their jurisdictions, under theclose supervision of SDPO Ruksin and Pasighat respectively.
The SP in his order further directed that no organization shall be allowed to organize gambling activities in any form in the district and if anybody is found indulging in gambling strict action will be initiated as per theprovision of the laws.
Meanwhile, the All Bogong Students Union, ABSU (E) which has been spearheading the crusade against gambling in the district appealed tothe state government to take urgent steps to check gambling in the district.
